It looks like the final software still has some features used for testing.

The Google Android platform, just like all other operating systems, has some minor issues in the start. This includes smaller or more serious security flaws and other hidden features, which are activated by users without them wanting to. Such a hidden features has been discovered recently on the Android 1.0 TC4-RC29 software, in the text entry part. The Google Android software interprets all entered words as commands and runs them with administrative rights in the background. So we just have to type the word "reboot" and the handset does indeed reboot without any warning. The feature, probably used for testing purposes, has been removed from software versions following 1.0 TC4-RC29. According to sources the bug is easy to reproduce on an Android emulator as well.
