Hop-on, known for their disposable phones, is now planning to develop a cheap Android phone.

The name of Hop-on has become known due to their disposable, not really environment-friendly, phones, but since then the company tried to restore their positive image. The new models, coming at a really low price, are now designed for many years of use, just like phones from other manufacturers, and even more, the company encourages environment-friendly recycling through buy-back. The Android phones (to be announced at the CES in January 2009) won't be launched in the cheapest price category, although its a price-tag below $200 still seems quite low. There are no details available about the specs of the upcoming handset.
