Garmin's first touchscreen phone is coming next year according to plans.

According to the original plans Garmin's first touchscreen mobile phone, designed with navigation in mind, should have been launched before December, but it is now sure that not only the netowrk operator versions, but the SIM-free versions will be coming late as well, we have to wait until mid-2009 for them. The handset, announced inlate January, comes with a 3.5" touchscreen, a 3 megapixel autofocus camera, 2 GB of expandable memory, HSDPA and WLAN support, Bluetooth 2.0 and advanced GPS-based navigation features. The only problem is that while at the time of its announcement it was a unique phone, since then HTC Touch HD, iPhone 3G, T-Mobile G1, HTC Touch Pro and other phones with a large touchscreen and a GPS have arrived and now it has to compete with them.
