Thanks for the review and thoughts, I hope Samsung does take on your suggestions as it normally appears as if device makers are in another world when it comes to meeting consumer needs. I must also applaud Samsung for providing the prototype in the first place and asking for feedback, hope more manufacturers do this.

We hope it too. As you can see, Samsung gave us another one, the Innov8. Now we are planning to write all the manufacturers in order to get prototypes, and we can point our Omnia blog as a reference. We gave a lot of feedbacks and suggestions to Samsung, some of them are implemented, and we are very proud of implementing the scrolling mechanizm among program icons, this was one of our suggestions.
Thank you for reading us and giving feedbacks.

I am a doctor and use the windows mobile platform to run programmes from skyscape.com as reference tools during my working life. The most useful programme I use is the British National Formulary and the 5 minute consult - you can install the trial versions for free. I would really appreciate it if you would test these programme on the Samsung i900 for me (and other doctors), as this would be crucial in deciding whether I get this smart phone. Most of the skyscape programmes all share the same layout, so if one works, the others should all work. It might also be useful to give a list of common programmes that work and don't work. Thanks, you did a great job on the review.

Can you post a link to download the trials? Skyscape wants registration and Dr Companion does not seem to have a downloadable trial.

ah, you are correct, the Skyscape web page requires registration, but it is free and you don't have to be a doctor. You can select non-health professional.

The address for 5 minute consult is:

Thanks again

Bocha, can you possibly check with your Samsung contacts when and if we are likely to see the software mentioned in this article released for the Omnia? Thanks

Thanks for your efforts Bocha, I am not sure if you have spoken to your Samsung contacts but the Omnia still has an issue which Samsung needs to address with regards to Bluetooth voice dialling. Even with the latest H3 rom from the service center in Singapore we are still unable to utilise BT voice dialling. The problem is the BT headset properly activates the voice dial app eg MS Voice Command on the phone but no audio is transmitted so we cannot hear the dial prompt and also cannot issue commands over the BT headset. Please let them know of this so they can investigate and hopefully provide a solution. Thanks a lot.
